Having received the university's approval, the masters' program now must be accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, an independent organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit schools of public health and public health curricula outside schools of public health. Sacred Heart will submit an application to begin that process abruptly, Greer remarked .
Candidates for the postgraduate planned must have a bachelor's degree in any significant from a four-year accredited university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Additionally, they must have earned a C point or higher in college-level pre-calculus, statistics and sociology or psychology .
" I want to build a program that facilitates the development of other qualified public health professionals is fully committed to and agitated about improving society health ," spoke Greer. She estimated that the initial class will include 15 to 20 students, and said the search for three core faculty member should be underway by this sink .
