In have responded to student demand, Sacred Heart University in Farifield is computing a master of public health program with a precipitate 2018 launch -- and curriculum conductor Anna Greer couldn't be more pleased .

The 48 -credit curriculum can be completed in two years by full-time both students and is likewise open to part-time students .
Adding such graduate platforms at SHU involves a multistage recommendation process that will cover vetting by faculty across a number of studies , not all related to state sciences .

Having received the university's approval, the masters' planned now must be accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health, an independent busines recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit class of public health and public health platforms outside institutions of public health. Sacred Heart will submit an application to begin that process abruptly, Greer added .
Candidates for the alumnu curriculum must have a bachelor's degree in any significant from a four-year accredited university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Additionally, they must have earned a C tier or highest in college-level pre-calculus, statistics and sociology or psychology .
" I want to build a program that facilitates the development of other qualified public health professionals is fully committed to and elicited about improving parish health ," responded Greer. She estimated that the initial class will be incorporated in 15 to 20 students, and said the search for three core faculty member should be underway by this sink .
